; Line Crewing is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Waiter to work onboard European river cruise vessels, with full onboard accommodation provided.- will be under Seasonal Dutch Contracts, running from March to November, with a potential continuation into refugee operations thereafter. Contracts are based on 38 working hours per week, with overtime paid accordingly.
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS/ CHARACTER
Must have experience on ships or hotel industry as a Waiter;; Must be able to deal with passengers in a professional manner;; Must have English and/ or German language skills;; Must be reliable and able to work unsupervised;; Must be able to work flexible time schedule and to the Company’s standards.; Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude towards passengers and crew while staying focused on assigned tasks.;
Adhere to the company’s appearance standards:
No visible piercings while on duty, except for regular stud earrings for female crew members.; No visible tattoos while on duty.; Maintain good personal hygiene, including short and clean fingernails, a well-groomed haircut for men, and a moderate hairstyle for women.; Always wear a clean and proper uniform according to vessel regulations.; Food & Beverage Service
Serve food and beverages to passengers in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, ensuring total passenger satisfaction.; Be familiar with all menu items, their preparation methods, and service procedures.; Ensure all food and beverages adhere to onboard menu specifications, are properly presented, and served at the correct temperature.; Address passenger complaints promptly and professionally; inform the Maître D’hôtel or Head Waiter of any issues.; Follow and maintain Food & Beverage hygiene standards onboard.;
Setup & Equipment Maintenance
Set up tables, side stations, buffets, and displays in accordance with company standards.; Ensure all glasses, cutlery, crockery, and other service items are clean and in good condition before use.; Be responsible for minimizing breakage and loss of equipment.; Clean all tabletops and seating furniture as needed, ensuring that all setup items are clean and properly placed.; Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of all equipment and vessel property used in service.;
Operational Responsibilities
Perform side duties as assigned on a fair rota basis.; Work efficiently, confidently, and professionally in all guest service interactions.; Assist with the loading of provisions and luggage when necessary.; Follow all safety, fire, and security protocols as per vessel regulations.; Adhere to the procedures outlined in the training manual and maintain company standards in all assigned tasks.;
