Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead daily operations in our sheet metal fabrication shop. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, coordinating workflow, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has strong technical fabrication knowledge and proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support fabricators, welders, and machine operators in a sheet metal shop environment
• Schedule and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer and delivery requirements
• Ensure parts are fabricated according to prints, quality standards, and work instructions
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, and workflow efficiency
• Enforce safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures
• Troubleshoot production issues related to equipment, materials, or processes
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and purchasing teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Train, mentor, and evaluate employees; support skill development and cross-training
• Maintain accurate production, labor, and quality documentation
• Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or leadership training preferred
• Previous supervisory experience in a sheet metal or fabrication environment required
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, forming, welding, assembly)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Experience with press brakes, lasers, punches, or related equipment preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
